  • ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    Candidates must be:

    • Aged 19+
    • A West Midlands resident
    • Must be earning less than £34,500 if employed or self-employed
    • Living in the UK for over 3 years, or have Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK
    • Individuals under the Ukrainian settlement or similar scheme are also eligible

    Purpose & Overview

    This qualification provides learners with knowledge of LEAN management principles used to improve efficiency, reduce waste and increase productivity across organisations.

    It is suitable for individuals working in manufacturing, logistics, business administration, retail or service sectors who want to develop process improvement skills.

    Mandatory Units

    • Lean Organisation Techniques in Business
    • Business Improvement Tools and Techniques
    • Working in Business Teams

    These units introduce core LEAN concepts, continuous improvement methods and effective team working practices.

    Optional Units

    There are no optional units for this qualification. All units are mandatory and must be successfully completed to achieve the certificate.

    Progression Opportunities

    On successful completion, learners may progress to:

    • Level 3 qualifications in Business Improvement or Operations Management
    • Team Leader or Supervisor qualifications
    • Apprenticeships in Operations or Management
    • Roles involving quality improvement, process support or team coordination

    Delivery and Assessment

    You’ll complete assessments and build a portfolio of evidence to show your knowledge and understanding.

    Tasks are designed to be engaging and supportive, with ongoing assessment from your tutor throughout the course.

    There are no formal exams your progress is assessed through your coursework and written assignments.
